What should I bring on my First RV trip?
Bring a toolkit. Bring Allen or hex wrenches. Bring duct tape. Bring scissors. Bring rubber bands and zip ties. Bring plenty of towels you can use as noise buffers (if your rig is as rickety as our Ford F-350-based ride from Cruise America was) by wrapping them around doors and drawers and windows.
Do you need to see your surroundings when traveling in an RV?
Whether you’re driving into a campground, an RV park or – especially – a place in the woods where you’ll be boondocking (RV-speak for spending the night somewhere free, without electric or water hookups), it’s important to be able to see your surroundings.
When to park your RV in a campground?

Where can I Park my RV for the night?
Make sure to check with a staff member before parking to ensure you don’t get towed overnight. Schools can be a quick way to find parking when you’re in a jam, so long as you’ve attended an event there, donated to a cause, or the parking lot is empty.
When to start packing for an RV trip?
In spite of the vehicle’s size, you and your travel companions will need to follow the rule that all travelers must heed: pack light. Start a packing list at least a week or so before your trip, so you’ll have plenty of time to think of everything you might need.

When to prepare for your first road trip?
A simple RV preparation checklist is the perfect way to get your rig ready for it’s first road trip of the season. Some RV owners camp during every season, while others only use their rig in the summer and store it all through the winter months.
