What causes a car to start but not keep running?
The engine requires the right amount of air and fuel to mix together for ignition. If there is a fuel leak somewhere, then the correct amount of fuel may not make it to the combustion chamber. This might be enough to allow the engine to start, but not keep running.
When to start a model a car after it has been run?
When opening the carburetor-adjusting valve, lightly seat or close the valve by turning clockwise until it stops, then open one full turn. This applies to a model a that has been run recently. If the engine has not run in a long time, don’t start it until you are sure it is ready to start and has been checked.
What causes a car to start and stall?
Check to make sure your spark plug wires or ignition coils are seated properly on each of the spark plugs. A detached or malfunctioning spark plug wire will cause misfires and often a stall as the engine struggles to stay running on fewer cylinders.
What to do when your carburetor is cold?
If the engine is cold, turn the carburetor-adjusting rod one full turn to the left to give it a richer mixture for starting. This rod serves both as a choke for starting and as an enriching adjustment. Next pull back the rod, at the same time pressing down on the starter button with your foot.

Why does my car stall at low rpm?
The will likely force your computer to stall the engine and only allow it to run at low RPMs, which means the car will only move at slow speeds. This is a safety feature enforced by the computer so that your engine doesn’t get too damaged.
