Can a RV be connected to a sewer line?
An RV is pretty much a home on wheels which is equipped with a variety of facilities from the toilet to the shower. Stored in a large holding tank, water wastes of an RV would be released into a sewer drain when necessary. But what if you want to connect the RV to the house sewer line for an extended period of time?
How do you hook up sewer in a campground?
If your campground provides cable access you need to grab your coaxial cable and connect one end to the cable supply and the other into your rig. That was pretty easy right? Now that we have cable, water, and electric hooked up it’s time to connect to sewer.
How do you hook up sewer to holding tank?
Equip the holding tank with the sewer hose adapter by twisting it in with your hand. Promptly connect the adapter with a four-inch long rubber hose using the clamp. Fasten the clamp with a screwdriver to secure the hose. Next, measure the distance between the adapter and the ground then note it down.
What to do if you don’t have sewer hook up?
If you camp in the same spot for long periods of time without sewer hook ups, you may find it necessary to take advantage of a portable RV waste tank. These waste tanks allow you to empty the contents of your black and grey water tanks into an external tank, which you can then transport to a dump station.
How does a RV park sewer connection work?
I am not sure whether or not they use a fitting on the end of the RV waste hose that connects to the cleanout that may create a seal between the waste hose and the cleanout. Someone suggested the use of P-traps, but that would be a maintenance nightmare. I would appreciate any input regarding this.
