Bump ignition timing to 12 to 13 initial from the factory 10 btdc. addition of an adjustable fuel pressure regulator to increase fuel to air ratio at WOT which with the factor fuel tables is in the 13 to 14 to 1 range.

It seems that engine kits are the same way. Next question do all 460’s use a stock pushrod lenth of 8.574 and are all 5/16 od. Distributor do all year 460 share the same gear tooth pattern and are all firing orders the same? Intake manifold sugestions this engine is not going to be an 8000 rpm screamer.

What kind of engine is a 460 engine?
The 460 engine I’m using to upgrade my 72 came out of a 90 model F-250. It ran but had numerous wiring issues with the fuel injection and other systems. Even though I was swapping the engine to an older truck i wanted to keep the modern convenience of fuel injection during the engine upgrade.
